Supply Chain Officer

Job Description
 As a Supply Chain Officer you will able to demonstrate previous experience in overseeing the delivery of a sustainable supply chain to support, preferably in the defence industry.  You will be able to work with programme teams and ensure that the commercial and financial interests of the company are optimised and customer needs are met through our supply chain activities.   
These activities will include; 
- building an healthy eco-system that is agile and supports our growth strategy as seamlessly as possible. 
- ensuring that all sourcing activities are carried out to a high standard from scoping creation through to programme delivery and beyond. 
- working in a way that make us the partner of choice for our eco-system due to ease of working and agile methods and the ethics by which we carry out our business
- challenging and supporting over process and procedures through continuous improvements. 
- reporting the things we do well and the things we can improve on in a clear manner to the correct audiences 
- engaging the broader programme delivery team to ensure that supply chain continue to have the opportunity to delivery best value. 
The role has a high level of stake holder engagement and so you will be a confident communicator who is able to easily influence a wide range of people.

How you will make a difference
The supply chain team is growing to meet the growing demands of a growing business.   As part of the team you will be working on key programmes supporting programme delivery.  Working with the Subcontract and Supply Chain Manager you will work  to build an efficient and effective team that challenges existing ways of working and develops a more strategic focus that programme teams can rely on. 
You will be engaged within your programme to understand current and future challenges and build a robust supply chain to deliver into the programmes acting as a centralised supply chain expert within the programme. 
This is a new role in the team and so we are looking for somebody to come in and make the role their own through their enthusiasm, skill and desire to make a difference.
