HR Service Delivery Lead (Workday Transformation)

Are you a HR Professional with experience in Service Delivery within a multi-National organisation?  Do you have experience in implementing HR Systems, specifically Workday?
Northrop Grumman are seeking a HR Professional to support delivery of our HR solution. 
This is an Interim project role for one year to implement Workday HCM and other modules by Q2 2021.

How you will make a difference

Northrop Grumman are currently looking for an experienced HR Professional to support our HR transformation journey to deliver an integrated, cloud based HR solution (Workday) to drive our digital journey and enhance our employee experience. The role will be responsible for partnering with the Core US Project Team and be a functional conduit across the regions & Countries to manage the full implementation lifecycle for our international operations (Australia, UK, Japan, South Korea, KSA, UAE and Poland).

The successful candidate will be the liaison 'Ambassador' between International HR operations and the core project team in the US. This person will act as the process and systems expert, exploring local design requirements to ensure process designs are translatable across the regions and Countries at an operational level. This person needs to understand the system requirements but just as importantly needs to understand how it needs to work at an operational level.

The Project Lead will;
  • You will work closely with the third party implementation partner and the US project team, positioned as lead for the international implementation.
  • Partner with the Global Project team to project manage the end to end implementation of the new Cloud based, integrated HR System (Workday) across an international landscape. This will include:

    • capturing configuration requirements from cross-national end users
    • data & process preparation
    • designing, implementing and documenting new HR processes
    • comprehensive change and stakeholder management
  • You will also work closely with the relevant International HR teams to understand existing processes and requirements, developing future processes and supporting change management efforts.
  • You will support development of the integration requirements ensure system interface needs are maintained or developed.
  • Manage stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle. 
  • Design and deliver comprehensive, localised and flexible training packages to ensure the HR team have the skills required to fully utilise the Workday platform.  
  • Phase one of the implementation will include a number of Workday modules:
  • Work with the dedicated HR process owners and third-party providers to lead on the design and development of any new integration solutions required.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong functional understanding of core HR
  • Hands-on dynamic approach to project management
  • Detailed understanding of HR Systems (Workday)
  • Excellent client and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrable experience supporting a successful Workday implementation project across the full development and implementation lifecycle 
  • Experience developing HR processes and procedures aligned with the Workday system within a multinational environment 
  • Expert knowledge and configuration experience of specific Workday modules such as the Core HCM module. Compensation module, Advance Compensation module, Talent Acquisition module, Talent Management and Performance Management module. 
  • A demonstrable history of working on the project lifecycle for technology driven HR Transformation 
  • Ideally you will have experience managing the interface between Workday and a separate payroll system.
  • Background in managing the project life-cycle in a global environment.

The successful candidate will ideally have worked in a multi-national organization and have experience in HR Service Delivery in addition to specifically implementing Workday and associated modules in a global environment.   You will also need strong attention to detail and a good sense of humour combined with excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.

The role may require travel (domestic and International) and can be based in Central London or Cheltenham (with regular travel to London).  Flexibility is available for the incumbent to work from home.

Flexibility on working hours will be required due to time zones (primary US/EST but also Australia on occasion)
