Project Lead - Aeronautics Systems Design & Development

Job Description
Do you want to be at the forefront of UK and European aerospace development and shape the future of unmanned combat air capability?  Do you have experience of aerospace systems design and development coupled with demonstrable experience of developing, leading and executing projects?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Lead specifically within our Aeronautics Systems sector.
Different thinking for a Different world
Northrop Grumman is involved in a range of future game-changing defence and security programmes. Whether this is as a partner in the F-35 Lightning II providing the aircraft with much of its situational awareness and communications, as a leading specialist in large intelligence datasets, as a pre-eminent provider of High Altitude Long Endurance unmanned aircraft systems, or as the ‘go to’ provider for truly open system architectures for battlespace networks, communications, and command and control, Northrop Grumman has an unparalleled reputation as an innovator.
How you will make a difference

The role is to lead, integrate and drive the delivery of Northrop Grumman’s contribution to a multi-party programme which is already under contract to shape the concept design and progress toward delivery of a next generation, unmanned fighter jet.  This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of UK and European aerospace development and shape the future of unmanned combat air capability.

The ideal candidate will have experience of aerospace systems design and development; appreciation of US / UK and International export control / trade management arrangements; the ability to bring coherence to multiple work streams and multiple teams to drive successful project delivery and the ambition to push envelope on what can be achieved technically, from an operational capability perspective and against tight timescales and deliberately constrained budgets.

The role will have the opportunity to work closely with multiple sectors within Northrop Grumman internationally but particularly with our Aeronautics Systems Sector, Missions Systems Sector and UK Team.
