Northrop Grumman are seeking a HR Administrator to join us in Cheltenham. This role is responsible for delivering the on-boarding administration process activity for the HR Shared Services team in the UK. As this is a small team, the HR Administrator also supports with wider team deliverables.

How you will make a difference

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective and dedicated HR support to employees and line managers across all HR disciplines, escalating to the HR Service Delivery Lead where required
  • Undertake regular and ongoing file management/recording (soft and hardcopy),
  • Capture receipt of end of year performance reviews and report frequently on completion rates
  • Administer the HR inbox (askHR), responding to queries in a timely manner
  • Keep records of askHR inbox activity to enable reporting of trends and metrics
  • Create and issue new offer letters and contracts of employment
  • Produce letters for contractual changes and merit/bonus awards
  • Administer the PRP process in the HRIS
  • Administer the long service awards in the HRIS
  • Ensure all payroll changes are captured in a timely manner for payroll for process
  • Prepare a monthly summary of all payroll changes
  • Act as a UK HRIS Super User
  • Maintain and update employee data in all HR systems
  • Undertake leaver administration, ensuring all actions as a result of a leaver are completed, including but not limited to update of systems, cancellation of IT equipment and payroll notification
  • Track exit interviews and capture any trends
  • Arrange training courses as required
  • Updating noticeboards with relevant HR information
  • Own data accuracy in all HR systems, specifically HRIS SAP Success Factors
  • Monitor training feedback and quality of suppliers for training
  • Maintain training records ensuring the processes to capture the information are appropriate and implemented
  • Support and provide cover for Employee On-boarding activity to ensure uninterrupted flow of the processing of employee changes
  • Participate in and support HR project activity
  • Undertake analytics activities and deliver a series of reports including:
    • HRIS reporting
    • Dashboard
    • Attrition
    • Absence reports

General Operational duties

  • Attend HR department meetings as required
  • Remain compliant with all applicable global and UK HR processes and procedures
 Person Specification
 
Essential Qualifications/Experience
  • Evidenced experience of working in a HR Shared Services team, and specifically performing administration across the full employee lifecycle
  • Ownership of data – consistency, accuracy, timely delivery
  • Demonstrable experience of building relationships across the business
 
Competency/Skill requirements
  • Competent in delivering to identified requirements in HR projects
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and customers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly numerate and a proficient Microsoft Excel user
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Current working knowledge of UK HR legislation
  • Flexible and responsive attitude
  • Proficient at multi-tasking, working under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Very good customer orientation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Understands all key HR processes
 
Other requirements
  • Travel requirements: Some UK travel may be required to attend team meetings or training events
  • Clearance requirements: The post-holder must hold and maintain UK Government clearance
