Our Cyber Solutions Division at Northrop Grumman are currently seeking a Linux Administrator for a permanent position. 

 
For this role you will be required to hold and maintain security clearance.

How you will make a difference

Role responsibilities:

  • You will be part of an Operations Team responsible for the development, maintenance and administration of the platform.
  • Production of Design documents, including Request for Change (RFC) and Work Instructions.
  • You will be required to carry out routine system administrative tasks such as patching, back-ups, user account creation and administration, performance anomaly resolution and system defect identification.
  • Implementation and management of security and audit policy.
Essential Criteria:
 
  • Linux experience as a System Administrator (ideally RHEL)
  • Experience of managing and administering anti-virus, system back up and monitoring tools. 
  •  Familiarity with the core tools such as git, ssh, Linux command line and Bash. 
  • Able to write documentation detailing routine system administrative tasks such as restoring services from back-ups and swapping out un-serviceable hardware
  • Root cause analysis and debugging to aid in resolution of functional and performance  related defects. 
  • A passion for learning new technologies and innovation. 
  • Excellent Linux system administrative skills required and a passion for technology are essential.
If you have additional experience with scripting tools such as Python or Bash this would also be desirable.

For this role there will be a requirement to work on a different site in the Wiltshire/Somerset area with potential travel to additional customer sites.
