International Trade Compliance (ITC) Officer

How you will make a difference
The primary purpose of this opportunity will be to…
  • Support Chester business in obtaining UK export license through the registration or application; and compliance of the Northrop Grumman UK Limited Chester (NGUKL) UK export licenses.
  • Support the tracking of UK licenses and US authorisations usage to ensure continued deliveries by the Chester business.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating a database of all UK export licences and US export authorisations for the business.
  • Process export, import and UK Customs transactions and associated ITC requirements.
  • Responsible for generating all shipping invoices and coordinating movements in/out of the UK with the designated freight forwarder/customs broker agent.
  • Responsible for generating all UK domestic shipping documentation, arranging shipping and coordinating movements.
  • Responsible for maintaining local export and import communication and compliance records for the Chester UK exports and imports.
  • Assist with internal and external audits of the NGUKL Chester facility.
  • Support the NGUKL Chester International Trade Compliance Official (ITCO) in organising and providing training.
  • Assist the NGUKL Chester ITCO in the incorporation, integration and implementation of global export/import Command Media.
  • Escalate for guidance/ instruction, any matter involving interpretation of regional and U.S. laws and regulations governing international trade activities to the NGUKL Chester ITCO.
  • Undertake any other reasonable task as requested.

Key criteria required...                            

  • Knowledge of UK export and import ITC requirements.
  • IT literate with a demonstrable competency of Microsoft Office in particular Excel and Word.
  • Good communicator.
  • Self-starter.
  • Highly organized.
