As an organisation, we demand constant innovation, and have an immediate opportunity for a Service Engineer to join us in our Coventry team, home to Cutlass - a next generation unmanned ground vehicle. Cutlass was designed, developed and manufactured by Northrop Grumman in the U.K for the remote handling and surveillance of hazardous threats.

How you will make a difference

You will be repairing state of the art unmanned ground vehicles and its sub components to a high standard and in a timely manner with reference to our customers KPIs.

You will also provide technical support and  act as a point of contact for our customer sites throughout the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities:

  • To repair high specification unmanned ground vehicle components as per instructions keeping within repair times issued demonstrating a customer focused approach.
  • To build sub-assemblies for spares and sales orders delivering a high standard product.
  • To update databases and spread-sheets to ensure accurate records are kept.
  • To visit customer sites around the UK and potentially overseas acting in a support role to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • To support delivery team and line report by reporting data, keeping accurate records of incidents and tasks completed.
  • Work closely with other stake holders within the business to ensure customer parts are returned to suppliers with accurate fault finding records while keeping within set timescales.
  • Contribute to process and product improvement helping resolve process and design issues working closely with the Quality and Engineering departments.
  • Organisation of daily workload to ensure to have the correct materials, tools, test equipment and work instructions are available and maintained.
  • Carry out assembly, test, repair and diagnostics tasks to sub assembly, or to component level.
  • Ensure that time recording with correct booking codes is accurate and submitted on-time.
  • Ensure project deliverables are met and status provided to PMO - KPI RTRT's

 

Key criteria required...

  • Be a UK national with Security Clearance (SC) or willing to undertake the checks required to successfully achieve SC clearance.
  • Willingness to travel with potential overnight stays being off site.
  • Clean UK driving licence.
  • Physically fit as there will be lifting required and ability to use manual lifting equipment.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Dedicated, accurate, efficient, team player.

Also, we’d love it if you have...

  • Previous experience of a repair and overhaul environment.
  • Knowledge of 5S procedures
