With a primary focus on assisting the workforce application and control the NGUKL travel programme, promoting adherence to travel procedures and manuals, administering company credit cards, and training employees in the use of the self-service online booking and expense reporting.

How you will make a difference

Your primary responsibilities for this job are as follows:

  • Perform a variety of tasks related to travel accounting, including processing business travel expense reports in the Microsoft Dynamics (MSD) system, ensuring compliance with company procedures and manuals, government restrictions and HMRC regulations.
  • Answer questions and provide guidance to employees regarding compliance with company procedures and manuals, government restrictions and HMRC regulations.
  • MSD travel expense subject matter expert to Northrop Grumman UK employees.
  • Conduct MSD travel expense training for new starters and existing employees, ensuring the training material remains appropriate.
  • Corporate Credit Card administration. Escalation of service issues to the Corporate Credit Card provider and ensure timely complaint resolution
  • Expense reconciliations.
  • Review traveller trip itineraries to ensure UK employees are booking appropriately, in compliance with company procedures and manuals. For example, opting for the lowest rates for air and hotel rather than personal preference or reward driven choices. Notify employees and their managers of exceptions and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Responsible for SharePoint intranet Travel website.
  • Lead and support the successful delivery of Travel Services in the UK. 
  • Undertake any other reasonable task as requested.

Key criteria required...

This position will interface with employees and various members of management as well as peer within the Travel Services and Accounting team. 

Essential criteria:

             A-Levels and experience in and accounting and customer service related position.

             Experience with travel program management

             Demonstrated problem solving skills

             Proven organization and priority setting skills

             Ability to achieve results and execute multiple simultaneous projects 

             Analytical, process management and data management

             A self-starter, with the ability to perform in a high volume fast paced environment.

             Demonstrate excellent communication, (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.

             Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

             Ability to stay calm under pressure

             Attention to detail

             Applicants must be able to hold and maintain UK Government clearances
